We're partnering with clients to shape how energy systems evolve around the world-and we need your help.\nYour Impact\nPerform the detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations including, but not limited to:\n\nOne-line diagrams\n\nSchematics\n\nWiring diagrams\n\nSCADA\n\nCommunications\n\nStation physical layouts\n\nSections/Elevations\n\nCable and conduit plans and details\n\nGround grid design and details\n\nFoundation plans and details\n\nStructural plans and details\n\nControl enclosure design and details\n\nLightning protection plans\n\nYard lighting plans\n\nBills of Materials\n\nSite visits\n\nSupport QA/QC for deliverables to clients\n\nShall learn, understand, and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs\n\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\n\nThe successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.\n\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\n\nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.\n1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in an electrical engineering capacity.\nExposure to operations and project controls experience for purposes of reporting.\n\nKnowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.\n\nFamiliarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management;
