Governance\nDefine and evolve the IT automation strategy, target architecture, standards, governance framework, and technology roadmap for the Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE).\n\nIdentify, assess, and prioritiseautomation opportunities that improve operational efficiency, service quality, and user experience.\n\nEstablish and maintain automation policies, standards, reusable patterns, and governance processes to drive consistency, scalability, and compliance across IT.\n\nAutomation Architecture & Design\nArchitect enterprise automation solutions across infrastructure, cloud, network, cybersecurity, identity, end-user computing, IT service management, and operations.\n\nDevelop reference architectures, design standards, integration patterns, and implementation guidance that enable IT teams to deliver secure and scalable automation solutions.\n\nEvaluate and recommend automation technologies and platforms that align with organisationalobjectives and enterprise architecture principles.\n\nTechnical Leadership & Assurance\nProvide architectural leadership, design guidance, and technical assurance for automation initiatives delivered by IT teams.\n\nLead architecture reviews, design workshops, and governance activities to ensure solutions align with approved standards, security requirements, and operational objectives.\n\nEstablish guardrails that enable innovation while maintaining security, compliance, resilience, and operational integrity.\n\nStakeholder Engagement & Enablement\nPartner with IT stakeholders to develop automation roadmaps, validate requirements, and align initiatives with organisationalpriorities.\n\nAct as the subject matter expert for automation architecture, promoting best practices, capability development, and an automation-first culture across IT.\n\nMentor technical teams and facilitate knowledge sharing to increase automation maturity and adoption.\n\nValueRealisation& Continuous Improvement\nMaintain visibility of the automation portfolio, including priorities, risks, dependencies, and realisedbenefits.\n\nDefine and monitor success measures for automation initiatives, including productivity Skills That Set You Apart\nEducation & Professional Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a relateddiscipline.\n\nRelevant industry certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, automation, IT service management, or cybersecurity are considered an asset.\n\nProfessional certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent aredesirable.\n\nExperience\n8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, operations, enterprise architecture, automation, or related technology disciplines.\n\nDemonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise-scale automation solutions across multiple IT domains, including infrastructure, cloud, networks, cybersecurity, identity, end-user computing, and IT service management.\n\nExperience establishing or contributing to automationgovernance frameworks, standards, operating models, and Centresof Excellence (CoE).\n\nProven ability to identify, prioritise, and drive automation initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, service quality, reliability, and operational maturity.\n\nExperience evaluating automation platforms, integration technologies, orchestration tools, and infrastructure-as-code capabilities, and defining enterprise adoption standards.\n\nStrong understanding of modern automation concepts, including workflow orchestration, APIs, infrastructure ascode, event-driven automation, platform automation, AI-assisted automation, and observability.\n\nExperience leading architecture reviews, design workshops, technical governance forums, and stakeholder engagement activities.\n\nProven ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders without direct authority and drive adoption of enterprise standards and architectural principles.\n\nExperience operating within large, complex, multi-disciplinary IT environments with multiple technology teams and service owners.\n\nKnowledge & Skills\nStrong enterprise architecture and solution architecture capabilities.\n\nStrong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, networks, cybersecurity, identity and access management, end-user computing, and IT service management practices.\n\nKnowledge of automation platforms, scripting technologies, cloud-native automation capabilities, orchestration frameworks, CI/CD concepts, and infrastructure-as-code approaches.\n\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.\n\nAbility to translate organisationalrequirements into scalable, secure, and supportable automation architectures.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, governance, and strategic planning capabilities.\n\nAbility to develop standards, policies, reference architectures, and technical guidance that can be adopted across multiple teams.\n\nNice-to-Have Experience\nExperience establishing or leading an Automation Centre of Excellence.\n\nExperience supporting digital transformation, platform
