This role requires thorough knowledge in mechanical systems. Candidates will lead Facility Condition Assessment projects for large portfolio clients throughout the United States and the world.\nWhile the preferred location is in the Atlanta, GA area, candidates from other WSP USA, which may include Virginia Beach, VA; San Diego, CA; Dallas, TX; Tacoma, WA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Orlando, FL; or Pittsburgh, PA may be considered.\nYour Impact\nAbility to understand and implement project work plans, quality management plans, and lead others to execute work based on a client’s requirements.\nHas the knowledge and credentials to make consulting recommendations and perform as the subject matter expert for the Mechanical discipline. Mentors and advises team members and leadership as needed, able to resolve conflicting methodologies and communicate best practices within their discipline. Provide analysis and lessons learned throughout a facility life cycle.\n\nPerform assessments of client facilities using professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition, remaining service life, and compliance with specifications and building codes.\n\nAbility to use tablet-based computer system to identify, inventory, and document building systems and components and provide justification for determination of the physical condition.\nAssess multiple buildings within large complexes on a daily basis identifying major components and sub-components, as well as supporting systems, while operating in a physically demanding environment. Experience assessing government buildings/portfolios is a plus.\nAbility to lead both small and large teams of assessors and report team status daily. \nUnderstands quality requirements and can execute a scope of work to meet contractual requirements. \nAbility to establish standard practices for complex scenarios. \nUse communication tactics to efficiently collaborate with project team members and be a team player, even when the subject matter is difficult.\nHas a proven track record of teaching techniques, skills, and mentoring other team members to achieve success and grow existing experience base to tackle challenges as markets change.\n\nProven ability to respond to Requests for Proposals and have excellent writing skills. Be able to effectively discern technical requirements. Must understand and be able to prioritize work to meet short response requirements.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBS Degree in Engineering or equivalent.\n7-10 years of relevant experience.\n5+ years of experience conducting facility condition assessments.\nExperience using mobile computer system devices for field data collection. \nKnowledge of facility condition assessment software applications such as BUILDER SMS.\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record\nValid passport or ability to obtain a valid passport.\nDue to client requirements, US citizenship is required. \nPossess excellent leadership and communication skills. \nCertified Project Management Professional is a plus.\nAbility to travel 75% or more and work flexible hours. \nAbility to understand project plans, work efficiently, and meet project deadlines.\nProficient computer skills, comfortable with technology and hardware, specifically Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint).\nExcellent technical writing skills and experience drafting proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and work breakdown structures.\nMust work well with team members, interact with clients positively, and operate from a future ready mindset. \nMust present a clean and professional work appearance, following established dress codes.\nAbility to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and perform moderate physical activity such as walking and standing, in a physically challenging environment, both\nBe able to pass a pre-employment screening including but not limited to criminal background checks, previous employment verification, education verification, and motor vehicle records.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineers (PE) preferred but not required.\nPrior military service in civil engineering, construction, or facilities management (AFCEC, DPW, IMCOM, Seabee, PRIME BEEF, RED HORSE, USACE)\nExperience creating cost estimates for project proposals and for client recommendations.\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
