As a Lead Highways/Transportation Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership on complex transportation assignments, help teams turn challenging engineering problems into practical solutions, and contribute to the continued growth of our transportation practice.\nYour Impact\nLead the planning, design and delivery of highway and transportation engineering projects from concept through detailed design and implementation.\nAct as Engineer-of Record and Provide technical leadership and guidance on roadway geometry, highway design, transportation infrastructure and multidisciplinary project interfaces.\nDirect and review engineering deliverables, calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation to support quality project outcomes.\nCollaborate with clients, partners and multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions responsive to project, community and environmental needs.\nGuide project teams through technical challenges while supporting effective scope, schedule, budget and risk management.\nMentor and support engineers and emerging technical leaders, strengthening capability and knowledge sharing across the team.\nContribute to proposals, client relationships and strategic opportunities that support the growth of the transportation business in British Columbia.\nChampion safety, quality and technical excellence throughout project delivery.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nA degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.\nProfessional engineering registration in British Columbia, or eligibility to obtain registration.\n15+ years of significant progressive experience delivering highway, roadway, transit or transportation infrastructure projects.\nDemonstrated experience providing technical leadership on complex, multidisciplinary transportation assignments.\nStrong knowledge of highway and roadway design principles, engineering practices and transportation project delivery.\nExperience reviewing and guiding technical work while mentoring engineers and supporting multidisciplinary project teams.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and project stakeholders and contribute to proposals and business development.\nAbility to travel to project and client locations as required.\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.\n\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
