Working alongside experienced technical specialists, you'll help develop innovative treatment solutions, support critical municipal projects, and strengthen essential water infrastructure from planning through commissioning. This is an opportunity to expand your expertise in mechanical process design for water and wastewater treatment facilities while making a meaningful impact on communities and the environment.\nYour Impact\nChampion health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout project delivery.\nSupport the planning, design, and implementation of municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure.\nDevelop process designs and engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, technical calculations, equipment layouts, and specifications.\nConduct process evaluations, feasibility assessments, and technology reviews to support infrastructure improvement projects.\nAssist with the selection and integration of mechanical process equipment, pumping systems, and treatment infrastructure to meet project and client requirements.\nContribute to construction support, commissioning activities, and start-up services for water and wastewater treatment facilities.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver practical and sustainable water solutions.\nContinuously build technical expertise through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and participation in complex water infrastructure projects.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\n5+ years of experience supporting municipal water and wastewater treatment projects through planning, design, and implementation.\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with the applicable provincial engineering association.\nExperience with mechanical process systems associated with municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pumping systems, process equipment, hydraulic systems, and related infrastructure.\nExperience preparing technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings.\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to project deliverables in a consulting environment.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.\nValid driver’s licence and willingness to travel periodically to client sites and project locations.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
