In the U.S, WSP was recognized onTIME’s list of the world’s best companies and Fortune’s Change the World list.\nAs part of our team, you will have access to an unparalleled network of resources and endless opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects with diverse teammates from across the globe.\nYour Impact\nPerform mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.\nDesign mechanical systems for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the lead mechanical engineers and project engineers.\nPrepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications, data sheets and technical bid evaluations.\nReview drawing deliverables for a variety of power generation projects, and communicates necessary updates with designers and drafters.\nReview mechanical equipment vendor drawing submittals.\nApply strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.\nCommunicate with other disciplines (electrical, structural, civil) engineers for efficient project coordination.\nOccasionally travel to clients and projects and sites to interface with clients, verify existing conditions, and monitor construction progress (5%-10% travel)\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline, from an ABET accredited program.\n5+ years of relevant post education experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities.\nSuccessful completion FE or EIT.\nWorking knowledge of relevant mechanical system and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.\nStrong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineering (PE) License\nWorking knowledge of Microstation or Auto CAD\nWorking knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx\nExperience using Caesar II or AutoPipe\nExperience using Thermoflow\nExperience using Arrow/Fathom\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
