Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities and lifelong career connections.\nOur Earth & Environment Team is seeking a part-time Mining Engineering Intern - Winter/Spring 2027 to work out of our Creve Coeur, MO office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.\nThis internship will take place during the winter and spring semesters.\nYour Impact\nSupport a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. \nLearn basic principles of Mining Engineering.\nAssist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.\nAssist in desktop studies on geology, mine stability, excavation and minerals processing.\nAssist in technical reporting on client resources and reserves for SK-1300 / NI-43-101 / JORC requirements. \nSupport preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.\nAssist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. \nComplete training on assigned tasks. \nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. \nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\nPlease note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship. \nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. \nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nActively enrolled in an accredited Mining Engineering or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later. \nMust be 18 or older. \nDemonstrated interest in Mining Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects. \nCompetent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. \nCapable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects. \nBasic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools. \nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. \nAuthorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.\nPreferred Qualifications\nActively enrolled in an accredited Mining Engineering or related, Masters Degree or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later. \nPrior internship and leadership involvement on campus. \nExperience in materials testing.\nCompensation:\nExpected Salary (all locations): $22.17 - $29.96\nWSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
