We're looking for a Principal ICT Engineer to join the UK Building Technology Systems team with a strong background in IT Network Design.\nYou will be designing IT networks within buildings, alongside multiple design disciplines, implementing leading edge network designs and technologies into real world applications.\nYou will liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand, develop, and interpret their requirements from concept stage through to detailed design, on multi-disciplinary design projects in coordination with Architects, Engineers, and specialist consultants\nCollaborate across WSP with specialists in areas like MEP, Smart, AV to develop holistic and comprehensive solutions.\nCreate future-ready buildings with the ICT foundation to deliver great user experiences, innovating the building landscape \n A passion for the future of technology in the built environment.\nExperience in ICT design and project delivery of medium to large building projects\nAbility to produce detailed design and performance specification, subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.\nAbility to carry out feasibility studies for review by colleagues prior to issue.\nExperience in producing detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline specific designs.\nExperience providing design and technical advice on projects lead by seniors or take a discipline lead role on smaller projects.\nAbility to work independently using their own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of their discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.\nAbility to work under the clear direction of others and interpret the needs of a project where applicable to the discipline.\nCIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.\nRevitMEP training applied to the discipline.\nAny accredited network qualification (such as Cisco certified accreditations or RCDD)\nExperience in some of the following areas:\nAbility to create and interpret technical documents including reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications.\nExcellent inter-personal skills, capable of communicating effectively with other members of the project team, stakeholders & clients.\nAn understanding of specialist building systems including MEP, BMS, fire safety, lighting and security systems, the smart building technology aspects of deploying modern smart buildings\n IT & Communication Skills:\nIT Network Design (Passive or Active)\nStructured Cabling Design (Copper or Fibre)\nWireless Design\nServer Room Design\nDate Centre Design\nTelephony Design\nTelecommunications Infrastructure Design\n Electronic Skills:\nELV systems\nFire alarms\nIntruder detection\nAccess control & security systems\nDisabled call systems\nData cabling and outlets\nBGV:\nEmployment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.\nCandidates are advised to ensure that all information provided during the recruitment process -
