This is a rare opportunity to build capability from the ground up, lead transformational projects, and play a key role in shaping WSP’s WA water infrastructure strategy.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking a Principal Engineer (Civil / Structural) (Associate and Director-level candidates will also be considered) to provide technical leadership across water and wastewater infrastructure, including:\nWater / Wastewater Conveyance\nWater / Wastewater Treatment\nProject and Design Delivery\nWater-retaining structures and complex assets\nThis is a high-impact leadership role suited to a well-connected technical leader who thrives on growing teams, influencing clients, and delivering critical infrastructure with strong national backing.\nWhat You’ll Be Driving\nLead the technical delivery of major water infrastructure projects across WA\nSet standards in design excellence, design management and project delivery\nDeliver innovative, practical and future-ready engineering solutions\nProvide civil/structural leadership across pipelines, pump stations, networks and water-retaining structures\nChampion Safety in Design, quality, commercial and WHS outcomes\nPlay a key role in major pursuits, bids and proposals in the WA water market\nSupport business development alongside the Section Executive\nMentor, coach and grow a high-performing, multi-disciplinary national team\nCollaborate nationally to deliver integrated, high-value outcomes\nDrive digital engineering and BIM-enabled delivery\nAbout You\nYou are a respected technical leader with a strong consultancy background and deep experience in water infrastructure.\nYou’ll bring:\nDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering\n15+ years’ experience (Associate level considered with 10+ years)\nChartered status (CPEng / RPEQ / RPV or equivalent)\nStrong background in water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment, conveyance and water-retaining structures (structural)\nProven leadership on major projects, programs or panels\nStrong client relationships-ideally including Water Corporation\nExperience across D&C projects and contractor engagement\nTrack record in proposals, pursuits and strategic business development\nExperience leading geographically dispersed and hybrid teams\nPassion for mentoring and building technical capability\nWhy Choose WSP?\nAt WSP, you’ll find the scale, stability and opportunity to do the kind of work the world needs-while being supported to grow your career, your way.\nWhat sets us apart:\nCompetitive pay & benefits -
