Particular emphasis on the food, manufacturing and process related industries.\nWorking for and with the process architecture lead to take clients intended manufacturing process proposals at various levels of detail across a variety of industries and develop them into efficient effective solutions. To understand the principles of what makes a good manufacturing process, understand waste, inventory and efficiency, to suggest optimisations and to consider flexibility and future alterations. This role will also feed into the designers of the wider facilities. Advising MEP engineers, building architects and, Electrical and C&I engineers on the requirements of the process equipment and interfaces.\nCore Functions\nDelivery of process lead solutions for site master planning, feasibility studies, scheme and detail design and construction support stages\nDevelop manufacturing building and room layouts for optimum cGMP compliance, manufacturing efficiency and operability\nDevelop plant layouts for process/manufacturing facilities\nDevelop manufacturing process layouts to consider operation, inventory, maintenance and flexibility\nAbility to identify waste and optimise process layouts.\nExperience of Lean / Six Sigma a benefit\nExperience of industrialisation and scale up of manufacturing a benefit\nPreparation, checking and approval Architectural design work on allocated projects, including drawings and specifications for all project stages\nCo-ordination of the design to ensure good interface with all other disciplines\nRevit 3D model coordination and BIM implementation\nCost management in conjunction with Quantity Surveyors and suppliers\nProvide value engineering and constructability input for other Architectural aspects\nEstimating manhours and provide input to proposals\nPresenting to clients\nPromote technical excellence of the Architectural aspects of projects undertaken by WSP\nProvide up to date technical advice to WSP and clients on Architectural aspects\nContribute to the development of systems and procedures\nContribute to the development of the department Architectural expertise\nKey Interfaces\nProject team, discipline engineers, designers and project managers\nClients and suppliers in the office and at site\nCivil, Structural, and Architectural Engineering Manager\nSales and proposals teams of the company\nPlanning, Building Regulations and other local authorities\nWhat we would like you to demonstrate..\nExperience and demonstrable proficiency in working in the process industries\nExperience working for or with manufacturers on facility and or process line design / optimisation / development\nDemonstrable experience in design and / or the management of the design of industrial / manufacturing facilities to design codes and standards, good knowledge of materials, construction techniques and sustainability\nSpecific industry awareness required in pharmaceutical, science and technology, chemical manufacturing and food sectors\nCommercial awareness and experience of supporting cost estimating functions\nAutoCAD and Revit experience. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and NBS software required.\nUnderstanding of Designer and Principal Designer responsibilities under CDM Regulations\nGood interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multi-discipline team.
