This is an opportunity to play a key onshore role in supporting the delivery of complex Mine Advisory projects across Australia while helping drive strong project performance, financial outcomes, and client value.\nThe opportunity\nYou’ll work closely with Team Executives, Project Managers, offshore GCC and finance partners to support a portfolio of projects from a delivery and performance perspective. This role is central to ensuring projects run smoothly, from financial tracking and reporting through to identifying risks and opportunities across the portfolio.\nWhat you’ll do\nContribute to successful portfolio delivery in accordance with Project Management best practices and effectively engage with clients and stakeholders\nApply Project Controls, Contracts Administration and Cost Control and Planning into project systems and processes on multiple work packages.\nCreate and maintain project and portfolio initiation and governance by establishing workflows, project structures, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost codes and fit-for-purpose control frameworks within relevant systems.\nPartner with the Project Manager and project team to create and monitor budgets, validate invoicing, support project close-out, and reconcile overall project payables and receivables\nSupport progress measurement through maintaining budgets, cost estimates, forecasting and earned value analysis by integrating schedule information provided by the Scheduler in consultation with the Project Manager.\nSupport analysis of schedule impacts arising from scope changes, productivity shifts and emerging risks, and communicate potential impacts to the Project Manager.\nMaintain project files, documentation and governance requirements in accordance with internal and client standards, and support project reviews, audits and stewardship activities.\nPlay a key role in the performance of the project team to meet client outcomes, deliver tangible benefits, and maintain profitability\nAssist with weekly time tracking and reporting\nChampion excellent health, safety, and quality practice\nLiaise with Project Finance Specialists (PFS) to undertake budget updates\nAssist with procurement activities to ensure suppliers are properly approved and engaged\nProvide financial updates for monthly and quarterly reports, including preparation of information for Team Executives to support decision making\nAttend project review meetings with Team Executives, maintaining action tracking and follow-up\nReview project and pipeline portfolios to identify “red flags,” including overdue or pending items\nEscalate project issues with delegated authority from Business Unit leadership\nSupport invoicing for large client portfolios\nSupport initiatives to enhance service delivery and client experience, inclusive of the Mine Advisory GCC integration.\nContribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions\nAbout you\nYou’re a proactive, systems-minded professional who enjoys working with project data, creating clarity, and supporting high-performing teams.\nYou will bring:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline\n2 - 6 years’ experience applying coordination or project and cost control skills\nWorking knowledge of project management principles (e.g. PMI framework)\nProject controls and/or junior project reporting experience\nKnowledge of cost control and/or cost reporting systems, procedures and practices\nStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail\nProven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment\nStrong interpersonal and written communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and P6 software.\nExperience in a consulting environment and/or PMP certification (desirable)\nDemonstrated experience supporting project or program delivery across multiple concurrent tasks\nAbility to interpret and work across various data sources, systems, and trackers with a high level of accuracy\nConfident engagement with technical teams and internal stakeholders\nWhat we offer\nAt WSP, we’re committed to supporting our people to thrive professionally and personally.
