This individual will have expertise in managing construction of water distribution systems & treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities.\nBe involved in projects with our Program and Construction Management Team in Maryland and a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.\nYour Impact\nJob Responsibilities\nOverseeing the construction management team consisting of inspectors, document control personnel, safety professionals and schedulers, and manage the document control process using Primavera Contract Manager.\nPerforming staging and logistics planning.\nManaging contract administration activities and the preparation of Construction Progress Reports to document progress and to identify key issues that need to be addressed by the client team.\nPerforming constructability reviews and value engineering analyses.\nEvaluating and reviewing contractor schedules and pay applications and making recommendations to the client.\nEvaluating the merits of contractor issued change orders and claims and making recommendations to the client.\nCoordinating with different departments within an individual client’s organization as well as with third party utilities and outside stakeholders.\nActing as the Owner’s agent with regards to the construction process.\nUnderstanding, evaluating and solving construction related field issues.\nAssisting in the RFI, submittal, and change order review process and reviewing of the contractor’s work schedule and schedule implementation.\nAssisting in negotiating sub consultant participation in contracts.\nNegotiating task orders and developing cost proposals for clients.\nWho You Are\nMinimum Requirements:\n3-5 years’ experience in construction management of water treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities.\nKnowledge of construction management processes, means and methods\nExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards\nUnderstanding of all facets of the construction process\nFamiliarity with the use of a variety of project control systems such as Contract Manager, P6, MS Project, SharePoint.\nDemonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills\nExcellent oral, written and presentation skills\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related technical field\nAn advanced degree and Professional Certification is desirable\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
