You will build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, contribute to innovative and sustainable outcomes, and help drive projects forward with confidence and accountability.\nAt WSP, you will be supported by experienced professionals and a strong team environment, with opportunities to grow your career while contributing to meaningful, high-impact work across southern Alberta and beyond.\nYour Impact\nDeliver land development and municipal engineering projects that strengthen communities and enhance infrastructure resilience throughout southern Alberta and beyond.\nManage the full project lifecycle for land development and municipal infrastructure projects, from concept design through construction and post-construction acceptance, including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments, as well as roadway and municipal reserve works.\nLead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, technologists, and subconsultants to achieve high-quality, compliant project delivery aligned with municipal and regulatory requirements for public and private sector clients.\nAct as a key client contact for developers, municipalities, and agencies, fostering strong relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and practical project insight.\nPrepare and oversee approval submissions, including engineering drawings, technical reports, servicing briefs, planning applications, and environmental documentation.\nManage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and contract administration, while supporting procurement and coordination of subconsultants and contractors.\nSupport construction-phase services through RFIs, shop drawing reviews, progress certifications, field reviews, and resolving site-related challenges.\nMentor junior staff and support their development in technical delivery, project coordination, and client service.\nContribute to business development activities, including proposals, fee estimates, and client presentations, to support growth in land development and municipal infrastructure services.\nBuild and maintain relationships with developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders, while staying informed of market trends and best practices.\n\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) or CET designation in Alberta with 4+ years of municipal infrastructure experience.\nProject Management Institute PMP certification is an asset.\nProven ability to manage complex projects and navigate local planning and approval processes.\nProven understanding of the land development process, municipal standards, permitting processes, servicing strategies, and grading design best practices\nExpertise in watermain, sewer, and road design, supported by strong construction administration knowledge.\nDemonstrated experience navigating CCC and FAC processes.\nExperience managing and coordinating survey and materials testing scopes\nProven ability to oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications\nExperience reviewing contractor progress claims and recommending payment\nFamiliarity with Alberta Environmental standards and guidelines.\nProficiency in civil design tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, modelling software, and project coordination platforms would be an asset.\nCreative problem-solver with strong judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate competing priorities with confidence.\nValid driver’s license and readiness to engage with municipalities across southern Alberta.\nA collaborative mindset and passion for creating solutions that matter to communities.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
