Most components of this role will relate to engineering and/or environmental consulting scopes. The role will be focused on technical practice areas in our earth and environment business such as site assessment and remediation, geotechnical engineering, geosciences, surface water and groundwater in aspects of projects ranging from site characterization, permitting and planning, desktop analyses, feasibility studies, research and detailed design. This project management role will work closely with technical managers and ensure the correct delivery of projects within budget and schedule.\nYour Impact\nResponsible for managing budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing and client satisfaction while working closely with professionals from WSP’s teams across the United States and supported by trained project coordinators.\nMust be familiar with the project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively co-ordinate the activities of the team. \nUse project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and manage projects in a way that aligns with the expectations of stakeholders and meet business needs.\nThe role is client-facing, and strong interpersonal skills combined with direct communication, ethics and integrity is a must.\nMust be action-orientated, resourceful and has the ability to hold self and others accountable\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related discipline \nMinimum of 3-5 years of post-education work experience in the Earth and Environment space. \nDemonstrated experience with project financial tracking, and change management related to scopes of work \nUnderstanding and adherence to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI) \nExperience in identifying and mitigating against project risks and developing risk registers.\nExpertise in project planning, tracking and analysis (e.g., using MS Excel or similar programs) \nHighly organized, adaptable, a developing leader, and calm under pressure \nExperience in managing multi-discipline teams \nProven focus on the management of clients and subcontractors \nExperience in the use of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera \nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMI Project Management Professional\nExperience managing coordinated program-level portfolios of projects\nAlaskan engineering project experience \nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
