Your unique perspectives will help us drive innovation and foster an inclusive environment.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to…\nDesign protection and control systems for electrical power transmission and distribution networks.\nDevelop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using software tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP.\nPerform technical calculations and analysis to ensure the reliability and performance of protection and control systems.\nEnsure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.\nConduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for design purposes.\nCollaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to integrate protection and control design requirements into project plans.\nReview and approve design modifications and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.\nConduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in protection and control technology and design practices.\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nMinimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering \nProven experience in the design of protection and control schemes. \nKnowledge of Electrical Networks and Engineering standards \nExperience of interpreting technical documentation relating to design. \nKnowledge and experience of working with main suppliers’ products of substation control equipment (such as ABB / Hitachi, Siemens, GE) \nExperience in main standard protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870. \nPreferable - Attained / working towards chartered engineer status\nPreferable - National Grid BP141 Authorisation\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
