The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all MEP quantity surveying activities, including measurement, valuation, cost control, payment certification, and variation assessment across a complex infrastructure environment.\nWorking closely with the Resident Engineer, Construction Supervision Team, Contractors, and Client representatives, the Quantity Surveyor (MEP) will play a key role in ensuring accurate commercial administration and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.\n Key Responsibilities\nReview and verify MEP-related quantities based on approved drawings and project specifications.\nPerform quantity take-offs, measurements, remeasurements, and quantity verification for infrastructure works.\nEvaluate and assess variations, change orders, claims, and additional works in accordance with contract requirements.\nReview contractors' interim payment applications and provide recommendations for certification.\nMonitor project costs and ensure compliance with approved budgets and contractual provisions.\nVerify completed work on site and coordinate with engineering and supervision teams regarding progress and measurements.\nReview Bills of Quantities (BOQ), specifications, preambles, and contract documents to ensure accurate valuation of works.\nPrepare cost estimates and quantity reports as required by the project.\nMaintain records of measurements, payment certificates, variation orders, and cost reports.\nAssist in the preparation of commercial correspondence and contractual documentation.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve commercial and technical issues related to MEP works.\nEnsure all quantity surveying activities comply with project procedures, contract conditions, and industry best practices.\n Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 7-10 years of Quantity Surveying experience in tunnel and infrastructure projects, preferably on major infrastructure projects.\nStrong multidisciplinary MEP knowledge covering: HVAC Systems\nFire Fighting Systems\nElectrical Systems (HV/MV/LV)\nELV Systems\nTelecommunications\nSCADA Systems\nWet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewerage, Stormwater, and Irrigation Networks.\n\nProven experience in quantity take-off, quantity verification, remeasurement, and assessment of scope changes based on approved drawings.\nExtensive experience in reviewing and certifying interim payment applications and assessing variations under both Lump Sum and Re-measurable contracts.\nSound understanding of BOQ descriptions, Contract Preambles, and CESMM4 measurement principles.\nPractical hands-on experience in MEP Quantity Surveying and post-contract commercial management activities is essential.\nDemonstrated ability to evaluate contractor submissions, measurements, payment certificates, variation orders, and claims for infrastructure projects.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and advanced Microsoft Excel is mandatory.\nStrong analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nPrevious experience working on construction supervision, PMC, or infrastructure consultancy projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.\nMembership of a recognized professional body such as RICS or equivalent will be considered an advantage.\nEssential Requirement: Given the multidisciplinary nature of the project, candidates must possess strong practical experience in MEP quantity surveying, commercial administration, payment certification, variation assessment, and post-contract cost management within large-scale infrastructure and tunnel projects.\nImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.\nJoin our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
