The team consists of environmental technicians, project coordinators, project managers, technical experts, and qualified professionals. We have been providing contaminated site program management services to the worlds most technically focused companies for over 15 years. We consistently have backlog of 9 to 12 months and provide growth opportunities for our high performing team members. We specialize in health and safety, Phase I/II ESAs, risk assessment and remediation. Our team takes on the biggest Canadian projects from coast to coast to coast. The projects range in type, size and complexity, and the successful candidate will be able to utilize the team strengths to manage a large amount of field work efficiently and effectively.\nWe're expanding and seeking a Remediation Project Manager. This role involves working with a dedicated team to manage contaminated downstream sites to achieve regulatory closure and support works on operating midstream sites.\nYour Impact\nYou collaborate within a team, working alongside Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors or Technical Leads, as well as Field Technicians, Scientists, and Engineers.\nYou have a strong commitment to health and safety, and steward best health and safety practices throughout your projects. \nYou have a client centric mind set and strive to provide excellent consulting services to clients. \nYou create proposals and cost estimates, organize schedules for field staff and subcontractors, gather data, and write reports that include conclusions and recommendations.\nYou manage project accounting and ensure tracking and reporting follow the terms outlined in WSP’s Master Services Agreements.\nYou mentor junior staff on environmental protocols and conduct site inspections to uphold safety and technical standards.\nYou communicate with clients to confirm their needs are addressed and that projects and proposals proceed with high quality.\nYou support fellow members of the Remediation Program Management Group, sharing responsibilities related to health and safety, project management, completion, and client service.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nUniversity degree or college diploma in engineering or environmental sciences.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and downstream experience is considered an asset with three years of project management experience. \nSound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude.\nStrong field experience is considered an asset.\nUnderstanding of the BC Environmental Management Act/Contaminated Sites Regulation.\nProfessional designation is preferred.\nWhy choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
