Joining a team that has tripled in size in the past year, this individual will play a critical role in continued growth and market expansion.\nLead and support major transportation and infrastructure programs including:\nInterstate Bridge Replacement Program (Columbia River Bridge Crossing); \nODOT I-5 Rose Quarter Improvements;\nCity of Washougal 32nd Street Railroad Grade Separation PDB; \nCity of Longview Columbia Heights Road Improvements; \nCowlitz County Tower Road Bridge Replacement; \nWSDOT Southwest Region Construction Support Contracts.\nServe as a key seller/doer helping grow WSP Construction Management services across Southwest Washington and Oregon.\nYour Impact\nServe as a seller/doer developing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities with WSDOT, ODOT, cities, counties, ports, and transit agencies.\nPerform marketing and networking activities to develop and maintain strong client relationships, win project pursuits, and develop strategic teaming partners.\nBring an entrepreneurial mindset to help continue the growth of a business that tripled in size in the past year.\nDevelop staffing plans and schedules to meet task requirements while delivering technical excellence and quality work.\nCollaborate with other WSP business line leads and project managers\nManage sub-consultants and project teams.Supervise field inspection and field office personnel and conduct performance reviews.\nReview work in accordance with applicable codes and standards.\nResponsible for quality control of field engineering, contract administration, inspection, testing, and surveying.\nApply diversified knowledge of construction engineering principles and independently make decisions on significant construction engineering challenges.\nDevelop and maintain team inspection standards at a high quality level of delivery.\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or relevant field; or equivalent experience/education combination\nMinimum of 12 overall years of experience with specific, demonstrated Project Manager / Resident Engineer experience on highway, infrastructure, and/or transit/rail projects\nProfessional Engineer registration (PE) in Oregon or Washington\nDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships\nFamiliar with the role of construction management marketing, Project/Construction Manager/Resident Engineer\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives\nDemonstrated team building, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills\nAble to foster collaboration between technical and management teams working from other locations\nWell-defined knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements\nAnalytical mindset with ability to exercise sound judgement\nComputer literate\nAbility to travel for work when needed\nValid driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle screening\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with project scheduling, estimating and constructability reviews\nCivil infrastructure (roadway/bridge) construction, water/stormwater construction, and/or program management experience with medium to large projects\nUnderstanding of pursuit management and client relationship building\nExperience with local, state, federal and transit organizations in Oregon and Washington\nDemonstrated success as a seller/doer leading pursuits, winning work, and growing client accounts\nExperience serving as an Owner's Representative on public infrastructure programs\nExperience with alternative delivery methods including Design-Build (DB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), and CM/GC\nExperience supporting procurement, risk management, constructability reviews, partnering, and owner advisory services for alternative delivery projects\nExperience with recruiting for inspector, office engineer, and contract administration roles.\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
