Montserrat\nA little more about your role\nWSP is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Engineer within our C&I department with exposure to the ELV discipline. This is a full-time opportunity based in Cape Town or Midrand (Johannesburg). The primary responsibilities for this role encompass producing & overseeing engineering designs, project financial planning, BIM/CAD resource planning and providing technical expertise on a project and advisory basis. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to independently run projects while also demonstrating proficiency in managing communication with management in supporting the resources required throughout various project phases.\nFormulate detailed C&I designs, processes and procedures, ensuring adherence by the engineering staff.\nPropose budgets, establish timelines for C&I projects and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to present a complete solution to the client\nValidate and ensure the quality of work and methodologies employed by the C&I team\nInitiate and lead efforts to identify opportunities for new projects and enhanced processes.\nDevelop and deliver comprehensive C&I project presentations, both internally and externally.\nManage the timely completion of deliverables for various tenders.\nContribute to establishing a work environment that promotes safety, value, and motivation for all, aligning with company policies and procedures, including those related to equality and diversity.\nEnsure strict compliance with all quality, safety, health, environment, and legal policies and procedures.\nDevelop PLC/DCS systems designs.\nFormulate SCADA/HMI systems designs.\nCreate designs for industrial networks, encompassing fiber optic, TCP, and serial connectivity.\nDevelop designs for integration with 3rd party controllers through OPC/API interfaces.\nEvaluate contractor performance and ensure quality standards are met.\nOversee commissioning quality assurance and conduct inspections.\nHEALTH AND SAFETY:\nRole model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you. \nContributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm \nEmbracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times. \nAbout You\nWe're looking for someone who is equally passionate about technical excellence and digital innovation.
