The candidate is required to have a proven working knowledge of the activities necessary to produce fully assured designs for the following systems\nStructured Cabling,\n\nPublic Address / Voice Alarm systems,\n\nPassenger Information System,\n\nClosed Circuit Television systems,\n\nAccess Control systems,\n\nIntrusion Detection,\n\nSCADA,\n\nBuilding Management System,\n\nPassenger Help Point systems,\n\nWireless System,\n\nNetworking and Telephone System,\n\nCyber Security,\n\nCabling Containment System\n\nDelivering Telecommunications systems (design and consultancy) Projects and lead the project teams based in Bengaluru\n\nResponsible for Telecommunications systems inputs/outputs to engineering (design and consultancy) projects\n\nResponsible to contribute to Telecommunications systems engineering input to multi-disciplinary engineering (design and consultancy) projects\n\nCo-ordination with other disciplines (internal and external) in the placement and integration of communication equipment within the overall design.\n\nProduction of reports, schedules, drawings, and technical schematics.\n\nVerification of the design against customer requirements and standards.\n\nAttendance at internal and external co-ordination, progress, and design review meetings.\n\nUndertake design reviews of other concurrent Communication Systems designs.\n\nResponsible for the preparation of deliverables and manage all the resources necessary for the completion of the task\n\nLead large-scale telecommunications projects through to site support and final customer acceptance.\n\nEstimate the effort required by different types of resources to complete large-scale telecommunications projects\n\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.\n\nDelegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient workload distribution and professional development opportunities for team members.\n\nReview and approve design documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.\n\nProven experience in leading design efforts and managing projects in a client-facing role.\n\nFlexibility / Adaptability\n\nPresentation and business communication skill\n\nIdentify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner\n\nAttend project and team meetings\n\nLeadership, Decision Making & Delegation\n\nTeamwork, Coordination, Planning and Organizing\n\nProvide Innovative solutions\n\nAdherence to HSE norms\n\nInteract with other disciplines and gather/provide design related information\n\nObservation of company quality and project management disciplines and procedures, as relevant to tasks undertaken\n\nIn all activities to contribute to the development of WSP business in the field of Infrastructure / railway engineering\n\nWhere relevant, observation of learning and development objectives as per Career Development Plan\n\nTrain and mentor Graduate and Junior engineers.\n\nCommunicate Effectively with the lead country.\n\nOrganise Knowledge share and lesson’s learnt sessions from projects/tasks.\n\nParticipate in Internal and External Audit preparations.\n\nReport writing, Design Calculations and Inter disciplinary meetings to be handled effectively on projects\n\nCompliance with company safety and ethics policies.\n\nEnsure the Project delivery with quality and time bound. Responsible for team’s output quality and project submission time adherence\n\nKey Competencies / Skills\n05-10 years of Experience in Telecommunications systems design experience will be preferred\nExperience in various project phases such as conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design etc.\nStrong understanding of cabling standards and best practices (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC).\nSupport and develop telecommunications design deliverables such as system overview drawing, conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, layout drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedules, rack layouts, storage & bandwidth calculations.\nKnowledge of fundamental engineering and communication systems standards and best practice.\nKnowledge and experience of the requirements for designing safety critical and safety related systems.\nAbility to produce coherent and accurate documentation.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality\nExcellent mentoring and communication skills\n Master / Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, Electrical or any other related discipline \nProficient with MS office specially Excel and Power point\n\nProfessionally accredited\nHigh proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).\n\nHigh proficiency in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, Navis, and Revu Bluebeam.\n\nCertifications like CCNA, CCNP, RCDD, PSP or from a manufacturer related to the telecommunications field is an asset.\n\nExperience in Vendor specific tools such as JVSG, EASE, RF tools (iB-Wave) etc.,\n\nExperience in working with Rail is an added advantage.\n\nExperience in working with Australia is an added advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with current codes and technologies pertinent to telecommunications and building technologies.\n\nBGV:\nEmployment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.\n\nCandidates are advised to ensure that all information provided during the recruitment process -
