Make the most of our global reach to discover new challenges and chances to work with diverse, talented individuals who will help you expand your horizons.\nTo find out more about our Geotechnical business click on the following link and discover what awaits you at WSP: https://www.wsp.com/en-GB/services/geotechnical-and-ground-engineering\nWe are looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join our existing team in Leeds.\nA little more about your role…\nLeading the delivery of technically complex geotechnical and geological projects, ensuring excellence in quality, programme and commercial performance.\nDeveloping and reviewing ground models, geotechnical interpretation and design parameters to support major infrastructure and development schemes.\nUndertaking and checking geotechnical analysis and design for slopes, retaining structures, foundations, earthworks and geohazard assessments.\nManaging projects and multidisciplinary work packages, including resource planning, financial performance and client satisfaction.\nActing as a key point of contact for clients, developing trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.\nDesigning, procuring and managing ground investigations, overseeing site activities and providing technical leadership throughout project delivery.\nProviding mentorship, technical guidance and day-to-day support to junior engineers and engineering geologists, helping to develop future talent within the team.\nContributing to bids, tenders and business development activities, supporting the continued growth of our geotechnical business.\nChampioning innovation, sustainability and digital delivery practices, including the effective application of 3D ground models and data-driven solutions.\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nA strong technical understanding of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, ground risk management and site investigation.\nProven experience delivering geotechnical assessments, designs and project management responsibilities within consultancy, contractor or client organisations.\nSound knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical analysis and geotechnical design to relevant industry standards.\nExperience leading project tasks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver project objectives.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce and review high-quality technical reports and design deliverables.\nExperience planning and supervising ground investigations, managing contractors and interpreting complex ground conditions.\nStrong client-facing skills with the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholder expectations and support business development activities.\nA proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to developing junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture.\nChartered status with a relevant professional institution, or demonstrable progress towards achieving chartership in the near term.\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
