The role offers excellent prospects for career advancement and development for the ideal candidate.\nYou will take on project responsibility from the outset, invariably owning your own projects from conception to construction. Your role will be at the heart of our high performing team, using your skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency. Based in the heart of the vibrant and historic city of Lincoln, working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), you will report to a Principal Engineer. Responsibilities will include:\nOwn and lead the design process, encouraging your and wider teams to deliver the right solutions to the agreed programme and support those less experienced by technical review, mentoring and advice.\nManage projects to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs.\nManage resources effectively (including some remote resource) and efficiently to meet fluctuating workloads.\nWork with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget and meeting H&S, CDM, QA and technical review requirements.\nDevelop relationships with other LCC and WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required.\nAgree fees and managing the commercial position on projects.\nAttend site to gather information and supervise schemes.\nYour Team...\nOur Team at WSP in Lincoln is firmly Client-based and thrives on mutual respect and open communication. Our workload is varied, on any one day you could be doing site investigations or an exciting new design project liaising with various stakeholders and working with third parties and contractors.\nWe'd love to hear from you if you have...\nExperience in undertaking feasibility studies, design, maintenance, and supervision of highways related projects. \nExperience of leading the design, management and inspection of Highway Structures maintenance projects. \nKnowledge of highway construction and delivery methods.\nKnowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties. \nExcellent working knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards, methods of working & Specification for Highway Works. \nProgress towards achieving IEng status is highly regarded. \nAt this stage we would be keen to hear from both senior engineers and intermediate level highways engineers due to a healthy workload in the region.\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
