Come join us and help shape the future!\nYour Impact\nLead and manage the mechanical design on multiple projects \nInterface with, and be a point of contact, for our clients, attend client meetings, and represent the team at project meetings\nActively participate in the full project cycle from the design phase through the final construction close-out \nInterface with and be a point of contact for our clients, attend client meetings, and represent the team at project meetings\nProvide technical expertise for mechanical systems including air distribution and hydronic systems, automatic temperature controls system design, and cooling/heating load calculations\nConstruction administration, project management, and quality control review of project designs and documentation\nPrepare technical reports and specifications\nPrepare project budgets and monitor compliance with time/schedule deadlines\nPlan and obtain additional work authorizations as required for scope changes\nAccountability for the profitability of the projects managed \nScheduling and selecting major equipment\nWork as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, planners, and scientific professionals to execute project work on multiple concurrent projects\nComply with regulatory requirements pertaining to the data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention.\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.\n5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.\nEngineer in Training Certification.\nProject experience with buildings from the design phase through the final construction close-out\nExperience with the design of HVAC systems and automatic temperature controls for a broad range of commercial systems \nExcellent communication and engineering skills (conceptual and inter-disciplinary) with the ability to work with our clients to determine/study different system types\nHands-on knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD \nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies \nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\nProficient with mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, and the application to project work-related issues. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in complex sector space such as healthcare and/or labs\nA member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.\nExperience with AHCA\nEssential Professional Licensure/Certification.\nExperience managing small to mid-size projects.\n40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.\nBasic First Aid and Adult CPR training
