As a Senior Metallurgical Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing studies and detailed engineering for new processing plants as well as upgrades to existing facilities.\nAs a Senior Metallurgical Engineer in our ERI Metals and Mining group, you will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing studies and detailed engineering for new processing plants as well as upgrades to existing facilities. Ideally this position will be located out of one of our Greater Toronto Area or Northern Ontario offices.\nYour Impact\nIdentify client needs and contribute to proposals.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to define project needs and present technical information, concepts, and study outcomes.\nEstablish design criteria, develop mass balances, define process flow diagrams, size and select process equipment, and prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).\nDevelop laboratory test programs, oversee their execution, and analyze resulting data.\nPrepare capital and operating cost estimates.\nReview and produce tender packages, technical specifications, and related engineering documents.\nAct as a Qualified Person (QP) for technical reports.\nProvide supervision and guidance to technicians, drafters, and junior metallurgists.\nAssist project managers and team leads as required.\nCarry out other related tasks that support market growth and successful project delivery.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nBachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.\n15+ years of relevant experience in metallurgical processes.\nCurrent P.ENG license.\nExperience in consulting engineering companies (an asset).\nStrong initiative, attention to detail, and a rigorous work approach.\nAbility to work collaboratively and share expertise across teams.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nBilingualism (English/French, an asset).\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
