This is an opportunity to influence major mining developments while mentoring future talent and helping expand WSP’s growing Mining & Metals practice.\n#ERI_Opportunities #carrières_ERI\nYour Impact\nLead the planning, design, and evaluation of open pit mining operations, delivering optimized and sustainable project outcomes.\nGuide multidisciplinary teams through all phases of mining studies, from concept through feasibility and execution planning.\nDevelop and review mine plans, production schedules, and technical deliverables using industry-leading tools such as Deswik.\nOversee the preparation of PEA, PFS, and FS studies, ensuring technical excellence, accuracy, and practical outcomes.\nBuild trusted client relationships by providing strategic advisory support and innovative solutions to complex mining challenges.\nContribute to business growth through proposal development, project scoping, and meaningful client engagement.\nMentor engineers and technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and continuous learning.\nChampion a safety-first mindset by integrating health, safety, and environmental priorities into all project work.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nBachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and Professional Engineer designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain one.\n10-15+ years of progressive experience in open pit mine planning, design, and development.\nProven experience delivering technical mining studies across the full project lifecycle, including PEA, PFS, and FS work.\nAdvanced expertise in mine planning software, particularly Deswik; experience with Vulcan, MineScape, or ArcGIS is an asset.\nStrong understanding of mine economics, cost estimation, production scheduling, and equipment productivity analysis.\nDemonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex technical deliverables.\nExperience supporting client engagement, proposal development, project scoping, and business development activities.\nExcellent communication skills, including technical report writing and client-facing presentations.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
