Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to projects that influence how people live, work, and connect while helping clients navigate complex planning and development processes.\nYour Impact\nLead planning and development applications for a diverse portfolio of private-sector land development projects.\nAdvise clients on municipal policy, land use planning, development approvals, and regulatory processes.\nBuild strong relationships with developers, municipalities, Indigenous communities, and key stakeholders.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated planning solutions.\nPrepare and review planning reports, policy analyses, development applications, and supporting documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to strengthen client partnerships and support business development initiatives.\nPresent recommendations to municipal councils, committees, stakeholders, and clients with confidence and clarity.\nMentor junior planning professionals and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\n7+ years of progressive professional planning experience with a focus on land development and private-sector projects.\nStrong understanding of municipal planning legislation, development processes, statutory plans, and policy frameworks.\nDemonstrated experience managing development permit, subdivision, land use redesignation, and planning approval processes.\nProven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships within the development industry.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and balancing multiple priorities in a consulting environment.\nExcellent written, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nFluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is considered a strong asset.\nMembership, or eligibility for membership, with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) is considered an asset.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
