Come join us and help shape the future!\nWSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Sunrise, Florida office.\nProvides high level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects in the public and private sector. Tasks include the research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, as well as protection and control systems in a wide variety of contexts (utilities, transportation, building, and Federal, State, and local government projects). Substantiates reports and documentation to advise on material, installations, design, component, and construction specifications. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.\nYour Impact\nPrepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specifications\nOversees all aspects of projects\nSets deadlines and assigns responsibilities\nExamine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects\nDesign building electrical systems including power, lighting, communication, security systems and fire alarm while adhering to the firm’s QA/QC process\nDevelop project specifications\nAttend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects\nResponsible for meeting the client’s project goals and objectives \nAssist in business development by pursuing new work including participation in client presentations\nAssist in the firm’s human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm members\nEnhances the firm’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests\nDemonstrates core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members\nUpdates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm’s Technical Committee as requested\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.\n5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.\nEngineer in Training Certification.\nComprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards\nStrong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills\nPossess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment\nAbility to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities\nProficiency in Revit, electrical system studies (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP), photometric studies (AGI32), math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.\nProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)\nExperience with Horizon or Project Resource Management software is preferred\nAbility to meet and exceed client expectations\nPreferred Qualifications\nPE license is preferred.\nLEED Certification is preferred.\nCertifications in areas of expertise are preferred.\nExperience in the healthcare, industrial and/or Science & Technology design
