The primary focus is assisting in the seamless and accurate delivery of our UK and Ireland based payrolls, supported by an effective and efficient payroll service to over 10,000 employees.\nThe role requires excellent accuracy and attention to detail and will be ideally suited to someone who is seeking to develop their payroll knowledge and technical competencies. The role will revolve around time and processing pressures and as such, commands strong organisations and prioritisation skills.\nA little more about your role…\nResponsible for the accurate and timely processing of all changes impacting the monthly payroll.\n\nResponsible for monitoring cut-off dates and ensuring all information is received in advance of the prescribed deadlines.\nLiaising where required with representatives from the HR department to ensure all information is received as required.\nSound awareness of tax and National Insurance calculations, understanding the manual calculation of these and all other statutory deductions.\nStrong knowledge of pensions and salary sacrifice schemes.\nGood appreciation for all statutory obligations within the Payroll function, including all e-filing submission and payment obligations.\nPotential to assist with production of the P11d Benefit in Kind returns, including inputting into the P11d software and reconciliations to car fleet and health benefit registers.\nPotential to assist with some Pensions scheme administrations.\nPotential to be involved in projects such as TUPE in/out and annual events\nTo assist in the provision of specific information on request including: requests by external and internal audits; information in support of mortgage requests; data for the National Statistic Office on request\nResponsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Payroll Services helpdesk, a tool for managing queries raised, relating to income tax, national insurance, pensions and general employee enquiries \nResponsible for ensuring all assigned Helpdesk queries are resolved within SLA.\nOther responsibilities as requested on an ad-hoc basis by the Payroll Manager or other members of the Finance and/or HR teams\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nKey Requirements:\nExperience of working within a busy Payroll Department within a medium to large organisation.\nExcellent numerical and analytical skills\nERP systems literate.\nAbility to use own initiative to solve everyday issues.\nAbility to manage time and work to deadline pressures.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to demonstrate a systematic and procedural approach.\nCustomer service facing.\nCompetencies:\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and business partners.\nThe desire to work as part of a team.\nExperience of working within a people focused business.\nGood working knowledge of MS office tools particularly with Excel and Word.\nBehaviour:\nEnsure full ownership is taken for all areas of responsibility, demonstrating pro-activeness across these areas.\nFlexibility, enthusiasm and commitment.\nExcellent organisational skills.\nExcellent attention to detail. \nTimeliness.\nA self-starter with initiative and able to set own priorities.\nAbility to work well in a team environment and develop relationships and rapport with external customers and internal colleagues.\nProactively seeks opportunities for self development \nImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.\nWork on landmark projects around the world and embrace opportunities to make an even bigger impact in the communities you care about.
