If you are passionate about geology and resource estimation, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!\nReporting to the MES Lead, working from either London or elsewhere in the UK and/or Ireland, we’re seeking people with more than just great technical skills, but a drive and passion to grow and do things differently. In the world’s largest mining consultancy, this is where you start, where you take it from there is up to you.\nThe Key Responsibilities:\nDevelop and refine geological models to support resource estimation.\nEstimate mineral resources with precision and accuracy.\nConduct thorough site investigations and audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.\nLead quality assurance and quality control reviews on various projects.\nContribute to and critically review technical reports and studies.\nCollaborate on the preparation and definition of scope for geological mining studies including Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Pre-Feasibility Studies (PFS), and Feasibility Studies (FS).\nDrive business growth by promoting WSP’s capabilities and attracting new clients.\nAttend and participate in client meetings, field reviews, and project oversight, often on short notice and across various locations.\nPerform additional duties as required to support project success.\nWe'd love to hear from you if you have:\nBachelor’s Degree in geology from a recognised university and/or equivalent qualification.\nResource estimation experience in a variety of commodities and deposit types, preferably within a consulting environment.\nRegistered as a Chartered Geologist (CGeol) in the UK or equivalent.\nFamiliar with international and public disclosure and reporting codes, including NI 43-101, S-K 1300, JORC, SAMREC, SME Guide, Competent Persons Reports, Mineral Resource Reports, etc.\nSkills in geostatistics and resources estimations.\nAbility and willingness to undertake a Competent Person/Qualified Person role on public disclosure projects.\nKnowledge of mining fundamentals and techniques, rock mechanics, and mineral processing.\nExcellent knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.\nWorking knowledge of 3D modelling software, mapping & geological database software: Datamine, Surpac, Minesight, Vulcan, Leapfrog Geo, Isatis, etc.\nKnowledge and experience with scripts and macros.\nAbility to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional and technical manner.\nFlexibility to travel as required for project work.\nFluent in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work and complete tasks with limited supervision, make informed decisions, and take responsibility on technical matters.\nPossess a team player attitude and be able to work in a project team environment.\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
