As a Senior SCADA Engineer based in Edmonton, Alberta, you'll contribute to complex projects that support reliable, efficient, and secure power systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients across a diverse project portfolio.\nYour Impact\nLead the design and integration of SCADA, automation, communications, and control systems for utility and industrial clients. \nDevelop communication architectures, network designs, and technical specifications that enhance reliability and cybersecurity. \nDeliver IEC 61850 digital substation solutions and support modern grid infrastructure initiatives. \nConfigure and commission RTUs, IEDs, PLCs, HMIs, and associated automation platforms\nSupport project execution through technical documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. \nCollaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes. \nMentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence, best practices, proposals, and estimates. \nAdvance resilient and sustainable energy systems through innovative engineering solutions. \nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. \nProfessional Engineer designation in Canada, or eligibility for registration. \n8+ years of experience in SCADA, automation, communications, protection and control environments. \nStrong expertise with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC/OPC UA, and related communication protocols. \nExperience with RTACs, HMIs, networked control systems, and substation integration projects.
