As Laboratory Lead in our Yellowknife office, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Ground Engineering team, leading laboratory operations, and supporting the successful delivery of complex geotechnical projects in Northern Canada.\nYour Impact\nLead day-to-day operations of the geotechnical laboratory, ensuring accurate, efficient, and high-quality testing and reporting\nDrive continuous improvement and growth of laboratory capabilities and service offerings\nManage projects from proposal through completion, including budgets, schedules, and client relationships\nReview and validate geotechnical test data and field reports to ensure compliance with industry and client standards\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities\nChampion health, safety, and quality standards across all laboratory and field operations\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nDiploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience)\n8-10 years of experience in geotechnical materials testing with demonstrated leadership and project management experience\nStrong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and CSA testing standards and procedures\nProven ability to manage projects, including budgets, schedules, client relationships, and technical delivery across laboratory and field environments\nValid Canadian driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract; ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in physically demanding environments\nCCIL certifications and safety training (First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance) considered assets\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
