Apply today.\n Main Activities and Responsibilities:\nUndertake structural analysis, design and documentation for underground structures, shafts,\ntrenchless construction methods, temporary works and related civil infrastructure packages.\nSupport investigations, condition assessments and structural appraisals of existing assets\naffected by construction activities or rehabilitation requirements.\nPrepare design calculations, reports, specifications and technical inputs in accordance with\nproject requirements and Australian Standards.\nCoordinate with geotechnical, civil, mechanical, construction and digital teams to develop\npractical and buildable design solutions.\nProvide construction-phase support, including responses to technical queries, design reviews and\nsite-based input where required.\nContribute to optioneering, design development, technical reviews and multidisciplinary\nworkshops.\nManage own work packages to programme and budget, with support from senior staff as\nrequired.\nApply sound engineering judgement, safety in design principles and quality assurance processes\nthroughout project delivery.\nUse structural analysis and design software confidently and continue building capability in\nadvanced modelling, digital engineering and efficient design approaches.\nSupport the team through effective collaboration, checking and knowledge sharing.\nSupport the delivery of high-quality outputs that build client confidence and strengthen long-term\nrelationships.\nAssist with preparing technical inputs for proposals, fee estimates, methodology development and\ntender submissions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve design efficiency, constructability and value for clients across\nproject stages.\n Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nProgressing toward Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent professional\nregistration (desirable).\nExperience, Skills and Organisational Knowledge\nApproximately 5 to 8 years' experience in structural engineering design and project delivery,\nideally within infrastructure, water or underground structures.\nPractical first-principles engineering and constructability knowledge, including the ability to\ndevelop effective designs and undertake space proofing for brownfield installations within\ncomplex existing site constraints.\nExperience in reinforced concrete and steel design, structural assessment and preparation of\nengineering calculations and reports.\nWorking knowledge of Australian Standards, safety in design requirements and quality\nmanagement processes.\nProficiency in relevant structural analysis and design software, with the ability to coordinate\neffectively with drafting and BIM/digital delivery teams.\nStrong 2D AutoCAD capability, including preparation of engineering sketches and drawings\n(highly desirable).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability work collaboratively with clients,\ncontractors and multidisciplinary
