Tax Accountant reports to the Tax Manager and assists Middle East compliance activities focused on taxation and statutory financial audits.\nThe Tax Accountant works with significant independence, but within established guidelines, producing and analysing financial and tax information.\n Supports the Global-Tax and Audit Team in direct and indirect tax filings by preparing tax calculations and reconciliations and checking material transactions against source documents (e.g., tax invoices).\n\nEnsures tax reporting and related administrative activities are accomplished on time\n\nEnsures final returns, working files and other related documents are stored on SharePoint and/or shared drive\n\nServe as point of contact of auditors for tax audit requirements of assigned entities\n\nEnsure tax and related administrative activities, documents and reports are accomplished on time and free of error\n\nEnsure final accounts, working files and other related documents are stored on SharePoint/Shared Drive and determine if there are documents required by country law to be archived physically\n\nKeep abreast of all regulatory changes impacting assigned entities\n\nWhere required or requested:\nPrepare analysis and schedules required during tax inspection of assigned entities\n\nAssist in corporate income tax return preparation and/or filing\n\nCalculate and/or review current and deferred tax calculations\n\nUpdates tax and audit calendar/tracker\n\nPerforms other tasks assigned by the Tax Manager\n\n CA/CPA (or equivalent)\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance\n\nAt least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or a multinational organisation\n\nExcellent English communication skills (verbal and written)\n\nKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)\n\nKnowledge of Middle East tax laws and regulations, practices and procedures (preferred but not required)\n\nStrong knowledge of accounting and finance\n\nHighly analytical\n\nProficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\n\nProactive, alert for issues and resolving the same\n\nStrong interpersonal and coordination
