This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.\nThis internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 17th, 2027. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.\nWSP brings global expertise in power delivery, power generation, and program management-anchored by the acquisition of POWER Engineers, Inc. TRC Companies have now joined WSP, deepening our power practice and expanding our energy advisory and intelligent grid services. We're partnering with clients to shape how energy systems evolve around the world-and we need your help.\nYour Impact\nTechnical Design & Analysis\nAssist with PLSCADD modeling for line layout, spotting, and structure analysis.\n\nAssist with design calculations for structures, foundations, conductor systems, and line components.\n\nAssist with development of plan & profile drawings, structure loading trees, material lists, and construction packages.\n\nParticipate in evaluating route constraints, design criteria, clearances, terrain conditions, and reliability requirements.\n\nSupport QA/QC processes for drawings, calculations, and deliverables.\n\nProject Support & Coordination\nAssist in preparing engineering reports, permit exhibits, and cost estimates.\n\nParticipate in internal design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination (civil, environmental, substation, geotech).\n\nAssist with occasional field reviews or site visits to support engineering validations.\n\nProfessional Growth & Collaboration\nCollaborate with cross functional teams and contribute to a culture of safety, integrity, and technical excellence.\n\nComplete training on assigned tasks.\n\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\n\nPlease note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nActively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical Engineering or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.\n\nMust be 18 or older.\n\nDemonstrated interest in Transmission Line Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.\n\nCompetent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.\n\nCapable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.\n\nBasic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.\n\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\n\nAuthorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nActively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical Engineering, or related, Masters or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.\n\nPrior internship related to the degree of study and the specific engineering discipline.\n\nA member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.\n\nCoursework in structural analysis, steel/wood/concrete design, foundations, soils, surveying, or power systems.\n\nFamiliarity with engineering software such as PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or
