This position will support students preparing for careers in healthcare, with an emphasis on phlebotomy and EKG.\nThe ideal candidate brings current healthcare experience and a passion for helping students develop the technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and professional behaviors needed to succeed in the healthcare field.\nLocation: WSU Tech South\nCompensation: $32/hr\nEssential Functions\nProvide classroom and hands-on instruction related to patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures.\nDemonstrate proper techniques, equipment use, safety practices, and infection-control procedures.\nCreate an engaging learning environment that supports students with varying levels of experience.\nEvaluate student performance through assignments, skills demonstrations, exams, and other assessments.\nProvide students with timely, constructive feedback to support their academic and professional development.\nMaintain accurate student attendance, grades, and other required records.\nEnsure instruction and laboratory activities align with program requirements, industry standards, and applicable healthcare practices.\nPromote professionalism, patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in the learning environment.\nMaintain current knowledge of healthcare practices, technology, and industry expectations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrent or recent professional experience in healthcare, phlebotomy, EKG, patient care, or a closely related field.\nDemonstrated knowledge and practical experience with phlebotomy and/or EKG procedures.\nAbility to effectively communicate technical and clinical concepts to students.\nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTeaching, training, or mentoring experience.\nExperience working with students or adult learners in a classroom or laboratory setting.\nCurrent industry credentials or certifications related to phlebotomy, EKG, patient care, or another relevant healthcare field.\nExperience in a clinical healthcare environment.\nWork Environment\nThis position may include classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instructional activities.
