This position assists students with financial aid applications, awards, and eligibility while ensuring compliance with federal financial aid regulations. The Assistant Director also supports process improvements, communicates with internal and external stakeholders.\nPay: $58,926.40 annually\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCounsel students on financial aid opportunities, application processes, award status, and eligibility.\nMaintain knowledge of federal Title IV financial aid regulations and institutional scholarship requirements.\nReview and process professional judgment requests and authorize financial aid payments in accordance with established guidelines.\nEnsure financial aid information is processed accurately and in a timely manner.\nCommunicate financial aid policies and procedures to students and other stakeholders.\nAssist other student service areas as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree.\nMinimum of three years of progressive experience in student financial aid administration.\nExperience with electronic student information systems related to financial aid.\nSupervisory experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Banner and/or SQL.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.\nAbility to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.\nAbility to exercise professional judgment and solve problems effectively.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student information.\nAbility to multitask, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.\nBenefits\nhttps://wsutech.edu/whyhere/\nWSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
