This position develops reports, dashboards, and data models to help ensure information is accurate, understandable, and available when needed. The Data Analyst works with various data sources, collaborates with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, and helps transform data into meaningful information that supports college operations and decision-making.\nSalary: $58,926.40 annually\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using Power BI and other reporting tools.\nAssist with data model development and maintain an understanding of database structures and relationships.\nValidate reporting results, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve data-quality issues.\nRespond to data requests, collaborate with stakeholders to clarify reporting needs, and document reporting processes.\nAssist with projects and special assignments, maintain compliance with applicable laws and college policies, and protect confidential information.\nOther duties may be assigned as needed.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in business, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nAt least one year of experience developing reports and semantic models in Power BI.\nAt least one year of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or a related area.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing SQL queries.\nExperience working with student-level data in higher education.\nWorking knowledge of Ellucian Banner.\nFamiliarity with cloud databases and/or ETL processes.\nExperience with programming languages such as R or Python.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and data reporting.\nUnderstanding of data structures and relationships between database tables and columns.\nStrong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.\nBenefits\nhttps://wsutech.edu/whyhere/\nWSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
