We operate in a values-based culture and strive towards our behaviors in everything we do.\nStarting Compensation: $49,108.80 / Annual\nWorksite Location: CTEC Campus\nOverview / Job Summary:\nThe Faculty for the HVAC program at WSU Tech is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality education and training in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role includes creating curriculum content, providing hands-on training, assessing student performance, and promoting an inclusive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC technology and a commitment to student success.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:\nDesign and deliver instruction aligned to course competencies and current industry standards \n Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment \n Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance and grades \n Utilize instructional technology and the Learning Management System to enhance learning\n Collaborate with staff, faculty, and student support services to promote student success \n Engage with Industry Advocate Teams to ensure alignment with workforce needs \n Participate in program review, assessment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives \n Represent WSU Tech at recruitment and community engagement events\nRequirements\nEducation:\nTechnical education or higher in HVAC or related field, preferred.\nEPA 608 certification required\nRequirements, Knowledge & Skills Needed:\nMinimum of five (5) years of HVAC industry experience, required (any level)\nPrior teaching or training experience, not required.\nBoth Residential and Commercial experience, preferred.\nPractical experience in the HVAC industry, including hands-on troubleshooting and system diagnostics.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.\nAbility to utilize technology and modern teaching methods to enhance student learning.\nStrong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.\nCommitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the learning environment.\nBenefits\nhttps://wsutech.edu/whyhere/\nWSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
