This position focuses on improving student retention, persistence, and program completion by providing guidance on military-affiliated funding, assisting with enrollment requirements, and connecting students with resources to help them succeed.\nDepartment: Military and Veterans Services\nPay: $23.01/hr\nPosition Type: Grant-Funded *has a delayed start*\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAdvise military-affiliated students on available funding options and financial aid requirements.\nConduct outreach to prospective and returning students to assist with enrollment documentation and deadlines.\nUtilize student information systems, including Navigate and Banner, to support student recruitment, advising, and retention.\nMonitor student progress and assist with initiatives to improve retention, persistence, and completion.\nCollaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to support student success.\nAssist students and families with questions or concerns related to financial aid eligibility and funding.\nMaintain accurate records and protect confidential student information.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.\nStrong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment.\nAbility to communicate professionally and courteously with students, employees, and the public.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.\nBenefits\nhttps://wsutech.edu/whyhere/\nWSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
