Our ambition is to turn this into the leading Consumer Intelligence Platform for hotel F&B.\nAs our Senior Data & AI Scientis t, you will play a key role in turning Wundermart’s Data & AI ambitions into tangible business impact. You will build models, solutions and intelligence capabilities that help hotels better understand, predict and optimise guest demand. Working closely with Engineering and stakeholders across the business, you will translate complex business challenges into scalable Data & AI solutions.\nThis is a high-impact individual contributor role. You will have significant autonomy and visibility across the organisation while remaining hands-on in building, testing and implementing solutions. Your work will directly influence commercial decision-making, product development, operational excellence and ultimately our customers’ profitability.\nThis is not a traditional Data Scientist role focused primarily on analysis and reporting. You will develop and test predictive models, design experiments and identify opportunities for automation, from hotel performance optimisation to customer behaviour analysis.\nThis role is for someone who loves building new things, takes initiative and enjoys working independently in an environment where entrepreneurial thinking and measurable impact are key.\nWhat you bring.\nWe are looking for a hands-on builder who goes beyond analysis.7+ years of experience in Data, Analytics or AI, preferably in a fast-growing technology company or scale-up.\nExperience building data platforms and analytics capabilities from the ground up.\nStrong Python and SQL skills.\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions or similar.\nExperience with modern data tooling such as dbt, Airflow, Airbyte or equivalent.\nExperience developing machine learning, forecasting and optimisation models.\nA strong understanding of consumer behaviour, experimentation and commercial analytics.\nExperience translating business problems into scalable data products.\nThe ability to independently own complex projects and turn business problems into implemented solutions.\nExcellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and advise senior stakeholders.\nAn entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity.\nCurious, hands-on, comfortable taking initiative and able to work independently in a fast-changing environment.\nFluency in English; Dutch is a plus.\nAvailability to work full-time, with at least three days per week from our Amsterdam HQ\nWhat you will do.\nTranslate Wundermart’s Data & AI ambitions into scalable models, solutions and applications.\nBuild a scalable data platform in close collaboration with Engineering.\nTurn millions of transactions into actionable consumer behaviour insights.\nBuild forecasting, optimisation and recommendation models.\nDevelop pricing, assortment and demand prediction models.\nDesign and implement AI-powered decision support and Agentic AI applications.\nTranslate complex business questions into scalable analytical solutions.\nSupport Product, Commercial and Operations with data-driven decision-making.\nIndependently own complex Data & AI projects from business question through to implemented solution.\nPresent insights and recommendations to the Management Team, investors and strategic customers.\nContribute to building the Data & AI capabilities behind Wundermart’s Consumer Intelligence Platform.\nDevelop and implement predictive and optimisation models to support business decisions.\nAnalyse large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical questions.\nDesign and evaluate experiments, such as A/B tests, to validate new ideas.\nBuild and automate data pipelines and analytical workflows in collaboration with Engineering.\nShare insights clearly through dashboards, reports and visualisations.\nWhy is this role unique?\nThis is an opportunity to build something that does not yet exist.
