our growing engineering team.\n\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks, mechanical mechanisms, machine design, and automation.\nThe ideal candidate should be capable of independently developing mechanical solutions, from initial concepts and feasibility analysis to detailed design, prototyping, and manufacturing.\nThis position requires strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to translate engineering concepts into practical, functional designs.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and automated mechanisms using SolidWorks.\n\nDevelop creative and practical mechanical solutions for custom machinery, robotic systems, and automation applications.\n\nDesign motion mechanisms involving gears, belts, pulleys, bearings, shafts, linear guides, actuators, and other mechanical components.\n\nSelect and integrate motors, gearboxes, actuators, sensors, and other electromechanical components into mechanical designs.\n\nPerform engineering calculations, including torque, force, speed, power, mechanical loads, and safety factors.\n\nDevelop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).\n\nDesign components for CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and other manufacturing processes.\n\nEvaluate mechanical designs for manufacturability, reliability, cost, maintenance, and ease of assembly.\n\nDevelop and improve mechanical prototypes based on testing results and engineering analysis.\n\nCollaborate with electrical, embedded systems, software, and automation engineers.\n\nResearch and evaluate commercially available mechanical components and propose suitable alternatives.\n\nIdentify potential mechanical failures, design limitations, and opportunities for improvement.\n\nDocument mechanical designs, engineering calculations, and technical decisions.\n\nWorking Arrangement\nEmployment Type: Part-Time\n\nLocation: Egypt (Remote)\n\nWorking Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week\n\nSchedule: Flexible, with regular coordination with the engineering team\n\nCompensation: Based on experience and technical capabilities\n\nRequirements\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, machine design, industrial automation, or mechanical product development.\n\nDemonstrated experience designing functional mechanical systems and mechanisms.\n\nExperience developing mechanical designs from concept through detailed engineering and manufacturing.\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, complex assemblies, configurations, and manufacturing drawings.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical design principles, machine elements, and mechanical mechanisms.\n\nExperience designing systems involving motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, gears, belts, pulleys, and linear motion components.\n\nAbility to perform mechanical engineering calculations involving forces, torque, speed, power, loads, and tolerances.\n\nGood understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).\n\nExperience preparing detailed engineering drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.\n\nFamiliarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing.\n\nAbility to select appropriate mechanical components based on technical requirements.\n\nExperience with mechanical prototyping, troubleshooting, and design optimization.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing custom automated machinery, robotic mechanisms, or industrial automation equipment.\n\nExperience with electromechanical systems, including servo motors, stepper motors, and actuators.\n\nExperience designing robotic end effectors, grippers, dispensing systems, or positioning mechanisms.\n\nFamiliarity with SolidWorks Motion Analysis and Simulation.\n\nExperience designing food and beverage equipment or other commercial machinery.\n\nUnderstanding of mechanical safety, reliability, and maintenance requirements.\n\nExperience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\n\nPersonal Skills\nStrong creative thinking and practical problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to independently develop and evaluate multiple mechanical design concepts.\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to engineering details.\n\nAbility to take ownership of assigned engineering tasks.\n\nGood technical communication and documentation skills.\n\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment.\n\nGood English communication skills.\n\nApplication Requirements\nCandidates must provide examples of previous mechanical design projects or a portfolio demonstrating their engineering capabilities.\n\nPreference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate experience designing functional mechanical mechanisms, automated machinery, or electromechanical systems.\n\nCandidates should be prepared to explain their individual contributions to the projects
