EST or CST preferred\nReports To:Vice President of Operations\nEmployment Type:Full-Time\nTravel:Travel to facilities and other business locations may be required\nJoin Ascension Recovery Services\nAscension Recovery Services is a growing behavioral health organization focused on expanding access to high-quality substance use disorder and mental health treatment across the country.\nWe are looking for a highly organized, solutions-oriented Senior Operations Specialistto support our Vice President of Operations and help move key operational priorities from planning to execution.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, organizing complex projects, improving processes, working across departments, and helping teams successfully implement new initiatives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOperational Project Management\nSupport the Vice President of Operations in organizing and executing key operational priorities and special projects.\nTurn leadership priorities into clear project plans, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.\nCoordinate cross-functional projects involving corporate departments and facility teams.\nTrack milestones, deadlines, action items, and risks and help remove barriers that may impact progress.\nSupport facility openings, operational transitions, new programs, and other growth initiatives.\nPrepare reports, presentations, executive summaries, and other materials to support operational decision-making.\nProcess Improvement & Implementation\nIdentify workflow gaps, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve consistency across facilities.\nDevelop and maintain SOPs, workflows, checklists, playbooks, templates, job aids, and other operational resources.\nSupport implementation of new systems, processes, policies, programs, and operational initiatives.\nPartner with subject-matter experts to develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and accountability.\nSupport communication, training, and change-management efforts associated with new initiatives.\nMonitor implementation and adoption and recommend adjustments when additional support is needed.\nPerformance & Data Analysis\nAnalyze operational, productivity, staffing, financial, quality, and compliance data to identify trends and opportunities.\nDevelop dashboards, scorecards, reports, and monitoring tools that provide leadership with clear, actionable information.\nSupport staffing, resource, productivity, and operational planning.\nEvaluate the effectiveness of operational initiatives using available performance data.\nPrepare clear summaries of findings, risks, and recommendations.\nCompliance & Regulatory Support\nPartner with Operations and Compliance leadership to support regulatory, accreditation, licensing, and survey readiness.\nReview facility processes and documentation for alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations.\nSupport operational audits, readiness assessments, facility inspections, and corrective action follow-up.\nTrack regulatory deadlines, licensing requirements, and compliance-related deliverables.\nSupport licensing applications and renewals, CLIA waiver applications, Certificate of Need filings where applicable, and other regulatory submissions.\nHelp translate regulatory requirements into practical processes and tools facility teams can successfully implement.\nWho You Are\nYou are someone who can take a broad assignment and turn it into an organized plan. You are comfortable moving between project coordination, process improvement, data analysis, and implementation support without losing sight of the details.\nYou communicate well across departments and levels of leadership, follow through on commitments, and are comfortable working in an organization where priorities and processes continue to evolve.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nMinimum of two years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, project management, compliance, quality, consulting, or a related field preferred.\nBehavioral health or substance use disorder treatment experience strongly preferred.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional projects or operational initiatives preferred.\nExperience with process improvement, implementation, SOP development, or workflow design preferred.\nExperience analyzing operational, staffing, financial, quality, or compliance data preferred.\nWorking knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, or operational compliance preferred.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.\nStrong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data organization, and reporting tools, strongly preferred.\nExperience with Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred.\nStrong analytical, organizational, project-management, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail, initiative, judgment, adaptability, and follow-through.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.\nAbility to work primarily within Eastern Time Zone business hours preferred.\nWhy Join Ascension Recovery Services\nThis role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior operational leadership while gaining exposure to multiple areas of a growing behavioral health organization.
