Responsibilities\n\nConduct water resources assessments and identify suitable sites for WASH infrastructure development.\n\nConduct needs assessments and develop sustainable technical solutions for water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities.\n\nParticipate in proposal development and resource mobilization initiatives.\n\nCarry out field and topographical surveys and prepare maps, layouts, and engineering drawings.\n\nDevelop technical designs, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for WASH projects.\n\nReview designs prepared by Water Technicians, consultants, and implementing partners to ensure compliance with government regulations and World Vision technical standards.\n\nReview technical and financial proposals submitted by contractors and service providers.\n\nPrepare technical bid evaluation reports for presentation to Tender Committees.\n\nReview contractor reports, including borehole drilling reports, pumping test reports, and water quality reports, and make recommendations.\n\nMonitor construction progress, quality, scope, timelines, and budget utilization.\n\nConduct field inspections and project verification visits to certify completed works and recommend payments, commissioning, and handover.\n\nDevelop and maintain a database of WASH infrastructure and facilitate infrastructure mapping.\n\nParticipate in contract negotiations and cost-control measures.\n\nContribute to the development of budget estimates and costing guidelines for WASH infrastructure.\n\nEnsure project certification procedures are followed and provide value-for-money assurance.\n\nProvide technical guidance and support to WASH and integrated programmes.\n\nPrepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.\n\nMaintain accurate technical project records and documentation.\n\nDocument lessons learned, innovations, success stories, and best practices.\n\nCompile infrastructure databases and beneficiary information.\n\nMaintain project site visit records and issue-tracking logs.\n\nPrepare technical briefs, monitoring reports, and project updates for management and donors.\n\nEnsure proper filing of project drawings, approvals, certifications, and contract documents.\n\nSupport monitoring and evaluation activities through data collection and reporting.\n\nLiaise with project staff to provide technical support during project planning and implementation.\n\nEngage local authorities, government departments, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.\n\nCoordinate with service providers and contractors to ensure quality service delivery.\n\nRepresent World Vision in WASH sector coordination forums and technical meetings.\n\nPromote
