Current Licensure as required by state in which services will be provided:\nOH: Athletic Trainer through Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training Board\nWV: Athletic Trainer through West Virginia Board of Physical Therapists \n2. Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer\nEXPERIENCE:\n1. Three (3) years of experience in Athletic Training.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEXPERIENCE:\n1. Five (5) years of experience in Athletic Training.\nCORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Provides on-site injury prevention, taping, bracing, and warm-up supervision before practices/games.\n2. Responds to acute injuries and emergencies during practices and games.\n3. Conducts injury evaluations, coordinates referrals, and communicates with parents, coaches, and physicians.\n4. Manages concussion protocols, return-to-play progression, and hydration/heat illness monitoring.\n5. Travels with teams as needed, often working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.\n6. Conduct musculoskeletal assessments using clinical and functional testing.\n7. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.\n8. Coordinate referrals to physicians, physical therapists, or specialists when necessary.\n9. Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to promote healing.\n10. Track progress and adjust plans based on patient/athlete recovery status.\n11. Educate on injury prevention and safe return-to-activity protocols.\n12. Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records.\n13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies.\n14. Communicate regularly with medical professionals, coaches, parents, and/or patients.\n15. Serve as a resource for injury prevention and athletic health education.\n16. Determine fitness for participation pre-season and post-injury.\n17. Assist in the selection and fitting of protective equipment.\n18. Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room, equipment, and related implements.\n19. Acts as mentor for the athletic training group.\n20.
