They must maintain stock, set up, and cleanliness of all bar areas. Apprentice Bartenders must have a deep understanding of the technical relationship between the bar, kitchen, and dining room. They must perform duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, procedures, techniques, as outlined in the service manual.\nKey Responsibilities:\nGreet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention.\nCommunicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management.\nActively participate and contribute to pre-shift meetings.\nExecute water service and serve non-alcoholic drinks as necessary\nConsistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the room management.\nBasic understanding of all food and beverage items and specifications.\nDaily prep of all garnishes, syrups, and other ingredients for service.\nCleanliness and organization of liquor and beer storage areas.\nEnsures proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.\nMaintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.\nCompletes tasks which include checking quality and amount of all bar stock and supplies through checklist; setting up bottles in display cabinet and speed rail; checking condition and cleanliness of blender, shaker and other tools; checking temperature/chemical levels of refrigeration units, glass wash machine, and sanitation buckets.\nAssists with moving chairs and tables as needed based on the floor plan\nResponsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout service.\nCompleting opening and closing side work.\nMaintaining health code standards.\nMaintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach.\nBid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return.\nMaintain a level of professionalism.\nAnticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.\nWork as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries.\nPerform all other job-related duties as requested.\nBe familiar with all Hotel services/ features and local attractions/ activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.\nMaintain working knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.\nComplete opening, closing, and ongoing side duties, not limited to fold/stack napkins, polish glassware, polish silverware, stock glassware, restock china, restock supply cabinets and service stations, restock bars, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.\nEnsure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service at all times.\nNatural communicator with excellent customer service skills.\n A highly motivated and energetic personality.\nWork varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.\nCandidates must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner, in written and oral form.\nRequires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.\nApplicants must be 21 years of age or above.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.\nWilling to work in a loud and fast paced environment.\nPossession of /or ability to possess a valid TAM card.\nPossession of /or ability to possess a Health card.\nExperience in Bottle service preferred, but not required.\nConsistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner.\nMaintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County Health Standards\nAbility to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis.\nAdhere to and enforce company specific safety policies.\nConsistently maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene deemed by management.\nMakeup, technique and style should stay current and in line with current fashion standards and trends as deemed by management.\nMaintain dialogue with all guest while upholding a warm, positive and friendly persona at all times\nCompetencies and Requirements:\nRequires a minimum of 2 years previous work experience as an Apprentice Bartender or Bar Porter in a lounge/ fine-dining restaurant.\nKnowledge/Certificates: Candidates must exhibit alcoholic beverage, basic food and advanced bar counter service knowledge.\nEducation: High School diploma or GED.\nLanguage Abilities: Fluent spoken and written English.\n Wynn Resorts is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
