The Housekeeping Department Manager is responsible for orchestrating the seamless operations of assigned areas to ensure the distinguished Wynn standards of elegance and refinement are consistently upheld. This position provides visionary leadership to cultivate exceptional employee engagement and deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Uphold the Wynn standards of impeccable cleanliness and refined aesthetics across all housekeeping domains, including guest suites, back-of-house spaces, and public areas through meticulous inspections and rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Lead and mentor all staff levels, including assistant managers, supervisors, and team members, through strategic coaching, comprehensive performance evaluations, and constructive feedback while fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Develop and optimize daily shift schedules, execute opening and closing procedures with precision, and establish timelines for daily, weekly, monthly, and specialized cleaning initiatives to ensure flawless execution.
- Provide clear strategic direction, establish measurable goals with defined timeframes, and monitor progress to achieve exceptional results while addressing guest concerns with grace and professionalism.
- Ensure staff are equipped with premium tools and comprehensive support by maintaining accessibility, providing guidance, addressing concerns, and establishing clear expectations for all assignments.
- Maintain transparent communication with assistant managers and senior leadership regarding operational barriers, staff performance insights, and departmental standards to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate strategically with administration, training, maintenance, and engineering departments to support staff development, equipment excellence, and facility preservation.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort amenities, premium services, and operational excellence while adhering to all Wynn policies, safety standards, and brand culture.
- Attend required management meetings and professional development sessions, integrating advanced knowledge into daily practices and remaining current with luxury hospitality industry standards.
- Demonstrate strategic problem-solving, foster collaborative teamwork, and maintain exemplary professional communication with guests and colleagues at all times, embodying the Wynn commitment to excellence.
- Minimum of two (2) years of distinguished leadership experience within a premier luxury casino or hotel setting
- Demonstrated excellence in orchestrating multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional standards under demanding circumstances
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the refined ability to provide constructive guidance across all organizational levels in the English language
- Exceptional strategic problem-solving and decision-making acumen, coupled with refined negotiation capabilities and visionary thinking
- Exemplary organizational, interpersonal, and administrative mastery with an unwavering commitment to meticulous attention to detail
- Proven capacity to excel both as an independent leader and as a collaborative team member within a cohesive environment
- Comprehensive experience navigating both union and non-union operational frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and luxury hospitality property management systems (HotSOS, Kronos, Opera)
- Exceptional guest relations expertise with the refined ability to address concerns and operational challenges with grace and professionalism
- Flexibility and availability to accommodate all shifts, weekends, and dynamic scheduling requirements based on operational needs
- Fluent English communication with guests and staff; multilingual capabilities highly valued
- High school diploma or equivalent professional experience; must be twenty-one years of age or older
