If you’re ready to pass on your knowledge and help build the future of the automotive industry, we want to hear from you.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nComprehend and apply the contents in the Employee Handbook and Student Handbook\nAdhere to and ensure the enforcement of WyoTech policies and procedures\nAccurately complete all necessary documentation promptly\nComplete as directed all responsibilities involving submission of grades, tests, attendance, and all other designated materials to the Registrar\nBe conversant in and support EPA and safety procedures\nMaintain and attend to the repair of class equipment and tool inventory\nAttend regularly scheduled instructor meetings\nAttend graduation and registration\nParticipate in curriculum development\nEncourage motivation and enthusiasm in the shop and classroom\nMake students aware of professionalism infractions\nEncourage students to do safe, quality work\nPrepare adequately for class and shop prior to start time\nExplain the requirements for each lesson completely\nEstablish a feeling of need; create interest, and clearly state lesson objectives in lesson introductions\nProvide appropriate information, resources, and assignments for a lesson (text, reference books, information sheets)\nWork with and utilize the CANVAS LMS system to update presentations and delivery information\nDemonstrate items to strengthen student understanding\nDemonstrate competency in teaching\nAssociated Knowledge and Skills\nStrong people skills \nEnthusiastic and motivating \nSound judgment and critical thinking skills \nExcellent communication skills \nProfessional experience \nAny certifications and/or other training in the field of expertise \nDirect Reports to this Position\nIST (Instructional Support Technician) \nRequirements\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education \nWork Verification \nBackground check \n7 years’ experience within the last 10 years, or upon Approval by the Licensing and Training Director \n5 years’ experience within the last 10 years with Associates \nWhy WyoTech:\nWork with students to make a difference in their lives\nWork with a great company that supports not only their staff but the community as well\nTeam building\nTuition reimbursement\nCompetitive benefit package\nPTO and paid holidays\n401K\nHealth insurance, vision, and dental are included\nLife and short-term disability \nThe Laramie community has the small-town charm with big city events.
