Best Outcomes.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAdhere to and ensure the enforcement of WyoTech policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook; Advise students on attendance, grades, professionalism, and personal problems to ensure completion of their career program\nSubmit grades, tests, attendance, and all other material; Plan class instruction based on syllabus and ensure learning objectives are met. Ensure all educational activity is conducted ethically and legally; Utilize the CANVAS LMS system\nSupport EPA and safety procedures; Encourage students to do safe, quality work with safety precautions\nMaintain and attend to the repair as necessary of class equipment and tool inventory. Lock up your area\nAttend scheduled instructor meetings, graduation, and registration; Participate in curriculum and professional development; Communicate effectively with all WyoTech faculty and staff\nEncourage motivation and enthusiasm in the shop and classroom; Develop a professional rapport with the students\nPrepare adequately for class and shop prior to start time; Have supplemental teaching items ready; Provide appropriate information, resources, and assignments for a lesson; Provide peer tutors as needed\nMonitor class; Remain in control of the class throughout the classroom lesson and in the shop\nFollow ADA Requirements\nBe available for students 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after scheduled class time\nAlways maintain security on all tests and lesson plans; Always maintain confidentiality\nOther related duties as directed by the department coordinator/department assistant coordinator\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nCandidates must meet state certification, regulatory agencies, and accrediting body requirements including but not limited to:\n5+ years of experience in the high-performance automotive industry, with a focus on tuning, drivability, and diagnostics\nTech-savvy and computer proficient, with the ability to quickly adapt to industry-specific software used in an educational or technical setting\nHands-on experience with classic vehicles, custom trucks, race cars, or other performance-focused builds\nA collaborative mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude in a shop-floor environment\nExperience with dynamometers is a plus\nIndustry certifications (such as ASE) are a plus and demonstrate commitment to craftsmanship and continuous improvement\nWhy WyoTech:\nWork with students to make a difference in their lives\nWork with a great company that supports not only their staff but the community as well\nTeam building\nTuition reimbursement\nCompetitive benefit package\nPTO and paid holidays\n401K\nHealth insurance - vision and dental included\nLife and short-term disability \nThe Laramie community has the small-town charm with big city events.
