In addition, this role will support plant maintenance and repair.\nAbout This Role\nThe OSP Infrastructure Technician is a vital part of the Wyyerd team. Wyyerd has near-term plans to dramatically accelerate expansion and, in doing so, the construction of new fiber network. The Professional Services team is responsible for working with outside plant contractors and internal teams to enable the rapid deployment of a fiber network in order to enable its expansion, and the OSP Technicians play a key role in this process.\nResponsibilities\nProofing conduit paths\n\nPulling fiber through conduit\n\nSplicing fiber, once trained, to enable service to customers\n\nOSP plant maintenance and repair support\n\nLocating of existing network infrastructure via geospatial tools, GPS capture tools\n\nWorking effectively with other people and teams in the organization\n\nPrograming and troubleshooting networking equipment as needed\n\nAssisting with other OSP and network-related activities as needed, e.g., placement of drop cables\n\nOther duties as required\n\nExperience/Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nPositive attitude, willingness and eagerness to learn new things, team player\n\nAble to lift up to 40lbs\n\nAbility to understand/learn the fiber network construction process\n\nWorking computer knowledge and Microsoft Office knowledge\n\nUnderstanding of basic electricity\n\nUnderstanding and interpreting plant maps\n\nTelecommunications wiring color-code competency\n\nMust have clean driving record\n\nAbility to pass drug test\n\nUnderstanding of ISP services\n\nAbility to work with others on all
