It includes assisting with geographic, customer, market and competition analyses, supporting deep research on opportunities for business development and supporting structuring solutions for our customers and projects. The position will support the structuring function within the Global Business Development group, including direct support for project finance models. The position will also support the engagement of customer relationship development leaders within the Global Business Development group and other activities as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer or Deputy Chief Commercial Officer in support of the Commercial Division initiatives.Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:\nAssist in gathering information to identify and research business development opportunities.\nSupport energy market analysis and competitive research activities by collecting data, organizing findings, and preparing summaries for review.\nWork with other divisions to support Global Business Development team priorities.\nSupport the development of strategies for structuring customer and project solutions.\nHelp build and maintain project financial models and contribute to the preparation of business cases supporting customer relationship manager and structuring leads.\nAssist in preparing market (geographic, market segment, etc.) forecasts by compiling data from market research, historical results, and industry information.\nProvide basic research support for senior team member and maintain/develop Global Business Development team marketing materials.\nWork with the strategic finance team, cost estimating team, and engineering and licensing teams to help verify inputs and calculations in project and customer financial models.\nHelp develop presentation materials, including slides, financial analyses, and forecasts, for review by senior team members and leadership.\nSupport senior team members as they prepare for presentations to leadership, providing updated data, exhibits, and backup analysis as needed.\nMaintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager.\nJob Profile Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.\nTypically, three years of relevant work experience.\nExperience supporting financial analysis or financial modeling activities and assisting with presentation preparation.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize analytical findings for non-financial stakeholders.\nSolid skills in data analysis, forecasting support, and scenario comparison, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nLocation: 9801 Washingtonian Boulevard, Gaithersburg, Maryland\nWork Site Expectations: 4 days in office\nTravel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed \nHours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri\nCompensation\nAs required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).
